Boxer Puppy 1l8 Weeks Old

My pup is 18 weeks old. We got her when she was 11 weeks old. We got her from a breeder, she is AKC. The breeder had her on Kirkland adult dog food, like 2-3 times a day. Some people keep telling me she needs to be on puppy food. I told the vet and she didnt seem to make a big fuss about it. Is this OK? s the breeder wrong? Was the vet wrong to not suggest a different food?
